Kohl is a practising artist from New Zealand that is currently based in Melbourne, Australia.
She received her BFA from Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design in 2016.
Kohl works with a variety of mediums, ranging from interactive living installations comprised of plants, to photography, and watercolour paintings. The content of her work often falls within the purview of ecology, globalism and relational aesthetics.
Her installation Offerings was the first place recipient of the 2017 Estuary Art and Ecology Awards held at Auckland’s Malcolm Smith gallery. She also collaborated with footwear company Merchant1948 and produced Kohl for Isabella Anselmi, a line of footwear which showcases exclusive watercolour textile designs.
Her work is held in many private collections and has been featured in Viva, The Sunday Magazine, Eyecontact, The Kaipara Lifestyler and, Fashion Quarterly.
